    This will serve as a record in case your supervisor leaves the company while you are on leave.

    When you list the date you’ll be returning to work, it’s important to be as flexible as you can. You don’t want to say “I’m returning on October 1st” and then later change your mind.

    One way to get around this is to say “I expect returning to work in October 2010, however it would be best if we could meet in late July to discuss my return in person”.
