Sample Recommendation Letter From Landlord

  • By | Comments Off

A recommendation letter from a landlord is important for it gives the new landlord some information on his new tenant. When writing a recommendation letter for a tenant to another landlord, one should consider a few things. The letter should give out brief information on the tenant’s stay in the premises.

The new landlord will want to know how long the tenant stayed in the former landlord’s premises and of course if there was any form of misconduct on the tenant’s part to encourage his termination of tenancy whether by the landlord or the tenant.

Another very important thing any landlord would want to know is how the tenant was paying his or her monthly dues. Were they timely or did they need to be followed around to be reminded to pay?

A landlords leasing to a new tenant also wants to know if the tenant was a good caretaker of the premises he resided in. They want to be sure they are renting to a person who can be a good manager of not just their home, but a person able to respect other people’s property.

Below is a sample recommendation letter from landlord. Feel free to modify it based on your situation.

Example Of Recommendation Letter From Landlord

    To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is to confirm that Jason Roberts has been living in my premises for close to five years with his wife Lisa Brandon and two children.

Mr. Jason and his family have been wonderful tenants and it’s been a pleasure leasing my property to them. They made sure they paid their monthly rent on time and in full amount as well.

They’re also respectful and have been taking good care of the premises and have left it in good condition.

Please do feel free to contact me if you need more information on Mr. Jason’s stay on my property. You can reach me on 012-34567890.

    Thank you.

    Yours Faithfully,
